The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens (Zoo) built a new Manatee Critical Care and Rehabilitation Facility at which staff will provide care for manatees that have been rescued due to injury or other health concerns. The 1.5 million dollar project is part of the zoo’s capital improvements program which is tied with its 100th anniversary.
SE&A designed the LSS and directly relevant support structures such as the filtration, disinfection systems, heating/chilling loads and assist with the coordination of electrical, mechanical and structural components associated with the LSS. The backwash water recovery system and medical water storage tank was coordinated and designed by SE&A, as will vacuum/cleaning capabilities for each pool.
