Baha Mar Resort is a 1,000-acre Resort development in the Cables Beach area in Nassau, Bahamas. Robert Satchell and Satchell Engineering & Associates was responsible for designing the LSS treatment system to be completely hidden within the project development and included a recirculation system with bio filtration (nitrification), sand filtration, carbon filtration, ozonation, de-ozonation, automation, aeration and deaeration. Satchell Engineering & Associates was also responsible for the design of a sea water well system to supply the life support systems with salt water makeup water.
Robert investigated the use of saltwater vs. freshwater where applicable throughout the project water systems. He assisted with the re-use water systems and coordination required for system make-up and discharge requirements including storm water re-use systems.
