San Diego SeaWorld’s Journey to Atlantis®, is a roller coaster at the park that features a 60-foot flume plunge, soaking guests brave enough to ride. Robert Satchell, founding member of Satchell Engineering & Associates, designed the water filtration, hydraulics, and piping systems for the flume pool on the ride. The aquatic life support systems for the pool use a fine filtration system that consists of vertical sand filters and pumps, chlorinators, and chlorine monitors.
