Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Water’s Edge: Africa. This exhibit has two pools designed by Satchell Engineering & Associates, the Nile Hippos pool that is 133,00-gallons of fresh water, and the African Penguin pool, that is 30,000-gallons of freshwater. The Life Support System a fine filtration system consisting of drum filters and their controllers, high power pumps, ozone contactors, and chlorinators.
