Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Garden’s Manatee River. This 330,000- gallon exhibit features a total of seven pools, three front of house and four back of house. Satchell Engineering & Associates designed the aquatic life support system consisting of vertical sand filters, GAC filters, ozone disinfection, variable speed pumps, a deaeration tower, heat exchangers, chlorination tanks, and an automated control system.
