Belle Isle Aquarium in the oldest aquarium in the country, being opening in 1904. This aquarium highlights the beauty of marine life from the Great Lakes to the Amazon. With the long history that the aquarium has had in this location, some of the exhibits are starting to deteriorate.
Satchell Engineering & Associates was contracted to conduct an evaluation of the aquatic Life Support Systems for many of the existing exhibits at the aquarium. These evaluations found areas of improvement for the systems in order to ensure high functionality of the aquarium. We are now in early design phases of the project to renovate the outdated systems.
