Cincinnati Zoo’s African Penguin Point exhibit is home to the endangered African Penguins. The 37,000-gallon saltwater exhibit consists of two pools, the back of house holding pool used for animal care and the main viewing pool that has a large underwater viewing section for guests.
Satchell Engineering & Associates designed the aquatic Life Support System for the African Penguin Point exhibit. We used fine filtration system that includes vertical sand filters and pumps, deaeration towers, ozone disinfection, chlorinators, and heat exchangers. See Photo Gallery
