Seneca Park Zoo had plans for expansion called the Master Plan. This expansion included adding a new Snow Leopard exhibit in the Asia region of the park, Aviary exhibits with waterfall features, and a Cichlid exhibit.
Satchell Engineering & Associates created a Concept Design for the exhibit expansions. The exhibits include a 350-gallon pool in the Snow Leopard exhibit, 270-gallon pond and waterfall in the Aviary exhibit, and a 925-gallon pool for the Cichlid exhibit. Each exhibit would have its own aquatic Life Support Systems that utilized fine filtration systems consisting of vertical sand filters and pumps, bio-filters and pumps, GAC filters and pumps, bag filters, UV sterilization, and chlorinators.
